ULTRABURO was founded by Maxime Huart, project manager, designer, and woodworker. Maxime oversees each project from the earliest stages of concept development through production and installation, ensuring a coherent balance between design intentions, technical feasibility, and craftsmanship.
Alongside him, Dries Hammels contributes as an object designer and woodworker. His practice combines creative thinking with a strong attention to materials, detailing, and fabrication processes, enriching each project through both technical and aesthetic perspectives.
Depending on the specific requirements of a project, we regularly collaborate with a network of independent architects, designers, and skilled craftspeople. As a result, the size and composition of our team can vary, allowing us to assemble the right expertise for each commission while maintaining a flexible and tailored approach.
We are always interested in meeting creative and experienced professionals who share our passion for thoughtful design and making. We also regularly welcome interns for periods ranging from three to six months. We particularly encourage applications from students in art, architecture, design, and woodworking programs. Previous workshop experience or familiarity with machinery and hand tools is appreciated, though not essential.
If you are interested in our work, would like to discuss a collaboration, or simply wish to visit the workshop and meet us, feel free to get in touch at maxime@ultraburo.com.

Our workshop is located within the Newton II site in Anderlecht, a vibrant cluster of small businesses, makers, and craft workshops on the outskirts of Brussels.
We share the space with two metalworking companies, Atelier Choner and Bureau Biche, whose practices complement our own. We strongly believe in the value of interdisciplinary collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the development of projects that bring together different crafts and perspectives.
This proximity allows us to continuously exchange ideas, techniques, and expertise while fostering a supportive and stimulating working environment.
We provide a complete, end-to-end service for bespoke furniture and interior projects, working with both private and commercial clients.
Our process begins with research and design, where we develop concepts, select materials and finishes, and define technical solutions tailored to each project's specific needs.
Through 3D modelling, we produce detailed drawings and visualisations that help refine proportions, functionality, and the integration of each piece within its architectural context.
We accompany projects with transparent budgeting, providing accurate cost estimates and guidance throughout the different stages of development.
All production is carried out in our workshop, where we focus on craftsmanship, durability, and attention to detail. Each piece is carefully fabricated to ensure both aesthetic quality and long-term performance.
Finally, we provide on-site installation, ensuring that every element is assembled and integrated with the same precision and care applied during fabrication.
